My fellow readers, I have to admit I was getting tired of Humbert and Lolita on my last post. But now that feeling is gone, the book had a turn now. An unexpected turn in which Lolita is the one taking over. She decided she wanted to quit her school and start the adventure all over again, but this time she would choose every destination. Humbert of course accepted. The situation has now changed, Lolita has realized that she can control the situation and she did it, Lolita has a new puppy and that's Humbert. She's just smart and amazing, she's getting older and she has changed. She's a manipulative girl and knows exactly what to do to get whatever she wants. Humbert might think he's still in control, but that's just him lying and believing his own lies. There's nothing like Lolita's moves to control him, he's completely in love with her and he'll do whatever to please her. Lolita's finally using that in her favor.

As you are neering the end of lolita i myself am nearing the end of lo's diary. And as alive she seems in your perspective she's like dead to me. I can't wait to read what you'll think of the ending. Could you include the chapters you're at in your next blog? Do you think humbert is aware that he's slowly losing control?

Humbert has lost all the control indeed and that just makes me sick! He is losing everything just for Lolita's attention even when she has already moved on. Thanks for reading the blog! EliminarYou know what, i kinda get Humbert, but then again i always have. And i must say that i really understand that some people, and maybe especially someone like Lolita with whom Humbert has experienced so much, are worth losing everything over, they're worth losing yourself over. Cause a life without yourself is imaginable, but a life without her sounds so horrible one becomes able to do whatever it takes to get her back. You say humbert makes you sick, i kinda pity him and i really get how hopeless he must feel.
